Job Description

Category Schools - Music Therapist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting students' growth and well-being as a Music Therapist on a 12-week contract. Step into this full-time opportunity offering leave of absence coverage and use your expertise to enrich young minds near Fort Worth, TX.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Credentials as a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)
  • Previous experience delivering music therapy in educational or pediatric settings
  • Understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, staff, and families
  • Flexibility and creativity in adapting therapeutic approaches to diverse needs and abilities
  • Strong organizational abilities to document sessions and progress notes
Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct music therapy services to students in individual and group settings, addressing a variety of developmental, social-emotional, and behavioral goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and special education teams to support student success
  • Develop and implement evidence-based music therapy interventions tailored to each student's IEP
  • Collect data and maintain accurate documentation of student progress and session outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate recommendations for continued therapeutic support
