Job Description

Category Schools - School Therapist Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school environment where your expertise in music therapy can make a real difference in students' lives. This contract opportunity, beginning August 11, 2026, and running through May 26, 2027, offers a full-time schedule within a supportive educational setting. You'll serve as a Music Therapist, delivering both individualized and group services at a vibrant campus. This is an on-site position that will allow you to bring your passion for music and therapy together to help students achieve their potential.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
National certification as a Music Therapist is required Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings Proficiency in assessment protocols and developing IEP-aligned therapy plans In-depth understanding of strategies for supporting students with autism and developmental disabilities Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities Familiarity with adaptive equipment and documentation processes Successfully pass district fingerprinting requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct music therapy services, tailoring interventions to support students' IEP goals Create and manage a schedule to meet both campus and program expectations Participate in ARD committee meetings, interpreting assessment data and helping set goals for students Assess student progress and maintain appropriate records and reports Consult with school staff and parents, offering training and support as needed Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment aligned with the developmental needs of students Contribute to ongoing program evaluation, making recommendations for materials and strategies Uphold district, state, and federal guidelines related to school-based therapy services Imagine leveraging your creativity and clinical skills while contributing to the academic and social-emotional growth of students.
