Music Therapist - Board Certified

In this role, you will utilize evidence-based music therapy techniques to promote emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being for patients receiving Hospice services. You'll create personalized therapy plans that foster healing, communication, and joy. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in a supportive environment committed to holistic health and recovery. Develop and implement individualized music therapy treatment plans tailored to patients' needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or mental health challenges. Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions utilizing various modalities such as behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and recreational therapy to enhance patient outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including the Medical Director, Social Workers, and Registered Nurse Case Managers—to coordinate care and document progress accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize CPT coding and other billing practices for documentation of services provided in outpatient or hospice care settings. Engage patients through creative musical interventions aimed at improving communication, reducing anxiety, managing addiction issues, or supporting recovery processes. Maintain detailed medical records and ensure all documentation aligns with healthcare standards and legal requirements. Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, dementia care, pediatrics, and other specialized areas to continually refine your therapeutic skills. Proven experience applying behavioral therapy techniques within music therapy contexts. Knowledge of medical documentation practices including CPT coding and HIPAA compliance. Experience providing mental health counseling through individual or group sessions. Familiarity with hospice care protocols and dementia care strategies. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and engaging patients effectively.
