Schedule:
Monday•Friday 6:30 AM•3:00 PM (Day Shift) Evening, weekend, and holiday call rotation required
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required EEG / Neurodiagnostic experience highly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inpatient and outpatient EEG studies, including: Routine EEG Long-Term Monitoring (LTM) for adult and neonatal patients Ambulatory EEG Perform Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) in accordance with established clinical protocols and physician directives Assist physicians during Electromyography (EMG) testing by operating equipment and monitoring patient data Ensure accurate data collection and adherence to all clinical standards Take the next step in your EEG career while working alongside expert clinicians in a supportive, high-quality healthcare environment. Overview Missouri Baptist Medical Center , an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children's Hospital. Missouri Baptist is the first and only hospital in St. Louis County to be named a Magnet® hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The prestigious designation is the highest credential a health care organization can receive for nursing excellence and quality patient care. This recognition has been accomplished by less than nine percent of hospitals nationwide. Additionally, U.S. News & World Report ranked the hospital #2 in the St. Louis metro area. The Missouri Baptist Medical Center Cardiac Testing department is a diagnostic testing center which focuses on identifying and evaluating cardiac disease processes. The department is comprised of RNs, cardiac sonographers, ECG techs, Nuclear Medicine technologists and administrative staff. The Cardiac Testing staff works in collaboration with Cardiologists to deliver high quality services to patients and their physicians. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Performs electroencephalographic testing in the laboratory and at the patient's bedside. Responsibilities Performs neurological testing using a variety of methods including digital and video EEG, and processes results. Validates physician orders and documents patient and family histories. Integrates the findings of EEG and EEG video data into clinically meaningful interpretations. Notifies supervisor or leader of any problems regarding equipment failure or maintenance needs. Maintains supplies.
