Job Description

The part-time Testing Center Specialist position at our North Canton location plays a crucial role in admitting testers, proctoring exams, and ensuring academic integrity during the testing process. This position will assist faculty, collect and file tests, assist students during the testing process and ensure a positive, secure and distraction-free testing environment. While this position predominantly supports the North Canton location, it will also provide support to the Akron Perkins location as needed.

Great Fit If:
You have flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and at both the Akron site and the North Canton main location of Stark State College. You are knowledgeable of proctoring and testing concerns. You possess proficiency in the use of computers and software applications, including the Microsoft Office suite. You are comfortable and able to 'think on your feet' and work with student populations of various learning levels.
Typical Responsibilities Include:
Verifying the identity of student test takers Assisting student with the Testing Center sign-in procedures Providing direction as provided by the course instructor Providing the student with the correct test and explaining testing policies and procedures to the students and faculty Assisting faculty in filing and locating tests and maintaining the test filing system
To Be Considered You'll Need:
A minimum of an associate's degree; A minimum of two years of experience in education and/or testing; Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; and The ability to function effectively and productively as a team member.
