Where You'll Work Virginia Mason Franciscan Health brings together two award winning health systems in Washington state - CHI Franciscan and Virginia Mason. Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Neuro Tech, you will be a crucial diagnostic specialist, providing essential neurophysiological testing for a diverse patient population. You will be instrumental in capturing vital brain and nerve activity data, directly contributing to accurate neurological diagnoses and the formulation of effective treatment plans. Every day you will independently perform high-quality routine and specialized neurodiagnostic procedures, such as EEGs, Evoked Potentials, or Nerve Conduction Studies, meticulously preparing patients, accurately applying electrodes according to established protocols, and skillfully acquiring precise data. To be successful in this flexible role, you will leverage your deep understanding of neurophysiology and expert technical skills to adapt procedures to individual patient needs and clinical indications, always striving for diagnostic excellence. You will collaborate effectively with neurologists, physicians, and unit staff, providing critical data that informs treatment decisions. Job Requirements Required Graduation from certified Neuro-diagnostic program or four (4) or more years of relevant experience Working knowledge of
EEG, EMG
standards An understanding of medical terminology Excellent mechanical/electrical skills to be able to maintain and trouble shoot equipment Working knowledge of sterilization techniques and universal precautions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to operate a computer Working knowledge of test interpretation and techniques A high school diploma or GED is required for this position Preferred American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABERT) Certification
