PET/Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Full Time

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled PET/Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team! Kingman Regional Medical Center is the largest healthcare provider and the only remaining non-profit hospital in the Mohave County of Northwestern Arizona. We are a 235-bed, Level 4 trauma, multi-campus healthcare system. Responsibilities Uses professional judgment to adapt imaging procedures to ensure quality diagnostic outcomes. Selects the most appropriate and cost-effective action plan after reviewing all pertinent data and assessing the patient's abilities and condition. Selects appropriate shielding devices and appropriate immobilization devices. Evaluates lab values prior to administering contrast media or radioactive isotopes. Performs venipuncture, IV patency and maintenance according to established guidelines. Administers radioactive materials and or contrast agents according to established guidelines. Requirements Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program Current registration and licensure by the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS) Current registration and licensure by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine (NM) or Current Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification BLS certification through the American Heart Association Knowledge and Skills Demonstrates a high degree of knowledge in Nuclear Medicine and in Positron Emission Tomography (PET) to include knowledge and abilities in basic and complex diagnostic NM and PET procedures. Abilities and knowledge in managing a patient care environment with increased exposure to infectious diseases, carcinogens and radiation. Knowledge of Computerized Tomography imaging procedures and technology to include knowledge of specifications, standards, and tolerances for the operation of CT equipment.
