Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare team in Mission Viejo, CA for a 13-week travel assignment working 40 hours per week. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using nuclear medicine techniques. You will play a crucial role in patient care by providing accurate diagnostic evaluations that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of medical imaging, aseptic techniques, and anatomy and physiology. Duties Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including PET scans and other diagnostic evaluations. Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients according to established protocols. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures. Maintain accurate records of procedures performed and patient information. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret scan results. Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
