Job Description

Local Travel Nuclear Med Tech position for a 13‑week contract in Palm Springs, CA. The role involves performing nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures while maintaining strict radiation safety and record‑keeping standards. Compensation up to $3,600 per week based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures Prepare patients for procedures, including scheduling and pre‑procedure instructions Operate nuclear medicine cameras and auxiliary imaging equipment following protocols Ensure accurate record keeping and adherence to radiation safety regulations Demonstrate proficiency in all nuclear medicine procedures, including special positioning of patients Calibrate and prepare radiopharmaceutical materials for administration Calculate patient study results and account for radioactive decay Review instrument calibration data and report malfunctions Monitor physiological status and care of patients during procedures Maintain proficiency in IV line placement and proper injection techniques Track and manage inventory of radiopharmaceuticals and supplies Submit nuclear charge tickets for each patient procedure
Qualifications:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology ARRT, NMTCB, or ASCP certification
California State License American Heart Association BLS Certification Preferred Skills:
1-3 years of experience preferred
