- Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- for a full-time contract opportunity. This role offers the chance to work in a cutting-edge clinical environment supporting both patient care and research initiatives.
- Position Overview
- The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a full range of nuclear medicine procedures for patients of all ages using advanced imaging equipment. This role is responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety regulations, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging, and supporting both clinical and research operations.
- Schedule
- + •Full-Time (40 hours/week)•+ •Day Shift - 10-hour shifts•Pay Rate•+ •$80 - $91/hour•(based on experience and qualifications) •Key Responsibilities•+ Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures and diagnostic evaluations + Prepare, calibrate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety guidelines + Evaluate image quality and process data, including SPECT and functional imaging + Accurately transfer imaging to PACS systems + Maintain records related to radiopharmaceutical handling, storage, and disposal + Monitor and manage supplies and equipment; assist with ordering and compliance + Support scheduling workflows using RIS and EPIC systems + Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient operations + Assist in training residents, students, and staff on procedures and safety protocols + Maintain adherence to ALARA standards and radiation safety procedures + Respond appropriately to radiation safety incidents when necessary + Participate in research activities and program development as applicable •Required Qualifications•+ Active •California Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (NMT-RHN)•+ •BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification•+ One of the following certifications: + ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) + NMTCB Certification + ARRT (CT) •Preferred Qualifications•+ Experience with •PET/CT imaging•(preferred, not required) •Knowledge, Skills & Abilities•+ Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures, equipment, and safety protocols + Understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging techniques + Ability to perform precise diagnostic procedures with accuracy and efficiency + Experience with image processing, reconstruction, and PACS systems + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment + Excellent communication and teamwork skills + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision •Why Work with Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences?
