Job Description
Company Overview Eisenhower Imaging Center is dedicated to providing high-quality diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology services. Our team of experienced physicians, nurses, technologists, and support staff work in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment utilizing the latest imaging technologies. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic imaging team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in nuclear medicine procedures, medical imaging techniques, and physiology knowledge. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. Your expertise will contribute to delivering accurate results while maintaining the highest standards of safety and patient care.
Job Functions:
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to diagnostic imaging; specifically Nuclear Medicine & Positron Emission Tomography. Performs nuclear medicine and positron emission tomography procedures of high technical quality. Utilizes proper radiation protection to protect the patient from excessive radiation. Uses time between procedures to maintain a safe clean environment, maintains inventory of supplies in assigned area, prepares and maintains records concerning radiopharmaceutical receiving, dispensing and disposal procedures. Uses the hospital information management system for patient demographics. Maintains proficiency in starting IV lines and follows the proper aseptic injection procedures. Ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skills. Provides a safe patient environment at all times. Produces diagnostic images of the appropriate anatomy according to department policies and procedures. Performs quality control procedures on a variety of equipment within the department. General Skills /Responsibilities:
Knowledge of nuclear medicine and positron emission tomography procedures and techniques. Knowledge of medication used in nuclear medicine. Ability to operate general office equipment. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Ability to communicate with staff, healthcare professionals and patients to ensure clear and accurate information. Complex math skills.Position Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology ARRT (N) (optional)NMTCB CTNM
Venipuncture certification BLS Certification 3 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine, Minimum 1 year experience inPET/CT Pay:
