$45-$65 per hour About the Role We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our growing cardiovascular clinic in Colorado Springs. In this role, you will perform advanced nuclear imaging procedures that play a critical role in diagnosing and monitoring cardiovascular and other medical conditions. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Prepare, administer, and monitor radioactive isotopes for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under physician supervision. Perform SPECT and PET imaging studies, with an emphasis on cardiac imaging. Operate, calibrate, and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance. Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures to identify and evaluate cardiovascular and other medical abnormalities. Obtain patient histories, explain procedures, and provide compassionate patient care throughout the imaging process. Accurately calculate, measure, document, and administer radiopharmaceutical doses. Perform routine quality control testing and maintain compliance with departmental, state, and federal regulations. Safely handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials in accordance with radiation safety standards. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation to support accreditation and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Required Qualifications Current certification and licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-N). Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, imaging protocols, and radiation safety practices. Experience performing nuclear imaging studies, including SPECT imaging. Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance. Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with PET imaging, particularly in cardiac applications. Previous experience in a cardiology practice, cardiovascular clinic, or outpatient healthcare setting. Familiarity with quality assurance programs, accreditation standards, and imaging equipment maintenance. Ability to thrive in a collaborative, patient-focused healthcare team. Why Join Us?
