Category Imaging - Nuclear Medicine Job Type Contract Take the next step in your imaging career by providing specialized care as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. In this contract role, you'll collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging and excellent patient care. Your expertise in nuclear medicine will support physicians in diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions using state-of-the-art technology.
Qualifications & Skills:
Current certification by the ARRT (N) or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine Technology Valid and active state license in Nuclear Medicine Technology (if applicable) Proven experience operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment (including
PET/CT, SPECT
) Proficiency in administering radioactive pharmaceuticals and conducting imaging procedures Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to radiation and hazardous materials Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and maintain meticulous attention to detail
Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures as ordered by physicians Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established protocols Monitor patient condition and ensure comfort and safety during imaging procedures Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment following manufacturer and facility guidelines Accurately document patient information, imaging results, and maintain thorough records Adhere to facility protocols and state/federal regulations for the safe handling and disposal of radioactive materials Collaborate with radiologists and referring providers on procedure outcomes and best practices This is an outstanding opportunity for a nuclear medicine technologist seeking to broaden their clinical experience, contribute to patient care, and advance their professional skills.
