Job Description

Category Imaging - Nuclear Medicine Job Type Contract Contribute your expertise in imaging as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within a respected healthcare environment. This contract opportunity provides the chance to leverage your technical skills and commitment to patient care, working alongside a dedicated team utilizing advanced equipment in the delivery of nuclear medicine procedures.
Responsibilities:
Conduct a wide range of nuclear medicine imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and high-quality diagnostic images. Administer radioactive isotopes in accordance with established protocols and monitor patients throughout procedures. Collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to communicate findings and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Operate and maintain imaging equipment by following regulatory and safety standards. Accurately document procedures, maintain comprehensive records, and protect patient confidentiality. Educate patients about procedures, addressing their questions to ensure comfort and understanding. Participate in quality assurance, equipment calibration, and ongoing departmental improvements.
Schedule/Hours:
Schedule provided prior to assignment and tailored for optimal work-life balance.
Qualifications:
Valid certification or registry in Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT(N) or NMTCB preferred). Demonstrated experience operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment in a clinical setting. In-depth knowledge of radiation protection policies and safe handling of radiopharmaceuticals. Current BLS certification. Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills. Adaptability and professionalism when working with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams.
