Job Summary The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs Nuclear Medicine diagnostic procedures in the hospital in accordance with all state and NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) regulations, and utilizing an understanding of principles of growth and development to provide the physician with diagnostic images to identify and/or plan appropriate treatment of the patient's condition. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist maintains and operates cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear radiologic studies in adherence to professional and department protocols. Qualifications Graduate of approved program for Nuclear Medicine. Has done all clinical competency's, classroom training and passed a certification board (CNMT (NMTCB)(CT), R.T.(N)(CT)(ARRT),or RTRCT) allowing you to operate a hybrid nuclear medicine system. CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 1 year of hire. 1-2 years Nuclear Tech, PET/ CT, and
SPECT/CT
