Category Imaging - Nuclear Medicine Job Type Contract Enhance patient care and advance your expertise by delivering exceptional nuclear medicine imaging services in a hospital environment. We are searching for an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist skilled at performing high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will combine technical proficiency with a patient-centered mindset, ensuring accurate results and compassionate support throughout each procedure.
Qualifications:
Current certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT-N or NMTCB). Demonstrated experience operating imaging equipment and conducting nuclear medicine procedures. Familiarity with safe handling of radiopharmaceuticals and adherence to regulatory protocols. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Commitment to maintaining strict safety and quality standards. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and safety guidelines. Conduct a variety of imaging studies, including PET and SPECT scans, ensuring accurate and timely acquisition of diagnostic images. Monitor patient responses and remain alert to any adverse reactions or complications. Accurately document findings, patient information, and procedural details in the electronic medical record. Educate patients about procedures, address their concerns, and uphold a calming environment. Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment, recognizing and reporting malfunctions promptly. Uphold infection control, privacy, and confidentiality standards at all times.
