Job Summary The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs technical procedures that require utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides patient services, neonatal through geriatric, using imaging modalities in an efficient professional manner and with sensitivity to patient needs. Accurately documents, files and maintains patient record. Schedules exams and responds to patient/physician questions. May also perform other various duties pertaining to the Department of Diagnostic Imaging. Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
Graduate of a two year nuclear medicine technology program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Nuclear Medicine, or a graduate of a one year nuclear medicine technology training program preceded by graduation from a Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited college or university.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
Must maintain registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technologist's Certification Board or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or provide proof of eligibility to become registered.
