Job Description

Aldrich Cardiovascular Institute is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our outpatient cardiology office. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality nuclear medicine procedures while providing exceptional patient care in a comfortable outpatient setting. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety and quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and regulatory guidelines. Perform a variety of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including SPECT, and general nuclear medicine studies. Operate and maintain imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety. Verify patient identification, review medical history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns. Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions. Process, analyze, and submit images for physician interpretation. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Follow radiation safety protocols and comply with all state, federal, and accreditation standards. Participate in quality assurance activities and equipment performance checks. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care. QualificationsRequired Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program. Current certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and/or certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N). Current Florida license. Current
BLS/ACLS
certification. Minimum of 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine imaging preferred. Preferred Experience working in an outpatient imaging center. Strong knowledge of radiation safety practices and regulatory compliance. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
