  • Full-time Job Summary ProScan Naples & NCH Joint Venture is looking for a Full Time Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist demonstrates competence in the area of Nuclear Medicine and patient care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrates competency in operating all cameras and other department equipment to perform Nuclear Medicine procedures include imaging techniques, camera and computer manipulations, processing and display of data, and protocols and protocols. Understands principles and concepts of radiation safety. Maintains proper documentation of all radiopharmaceuticals in the Hot Lab Dose Management Computer System according to procedure and in compliance with all regulatory agencies, including, but not limited to receipts, storage, usage, and disposal of radioactive patient dose and administration records. Demonstrates competency in performing all Nuclear medicine equipment Quality Control (QC) and demonstrates knowledge and capability in troubleshooting when errors are identified. Maintain a proper document of all equipment QC's by filing and recording in the system. Provides all aspects of patient care based on established standards. Demonstrates competency in all procedures within the scope of practice, as appropriate to the ages of patients served; the ability to obtain and interpret information regarding the patient's needs; knowledge of growth and development and an understanding of the range of treatment of the patients. Demonstrates competency using the Radiographic Information System. Demonstrates competency using the PACS. Maintains clean and well-stocked work area. Assists in training and orientation of new employees as needed. Strives to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all employees. Meets and exceeds the expectations of patients and all other customers we serve. Understands the principles and concepts of Performance Improvement. Looks for opportunities and solutions for process improvements and seeks to improve job skills.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School or GED required. Satisfactory completion of a formal Nuclear Medicine Program in an approved school. Two years experience in Nuclear Medicine Preferred. ARRT Registered in Nuclear Medicine (N)
  • or•Registered CNMT from NMTCB.
Licensed as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in the State of Florida with a qualification in Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Basic Life Support (BLS Provider) certification required with American Heart Association.
Basic computer knowledge:
the ability to operate a PC, create/save/print documents, input data PET/CT experience is a plus, or willingness to train in
