Nuclear Medicine Technologist_Part Time (2-3 days a week)

Overview Join our private cardiology practice team as a Part-Time Nuclear Medicine Technologist, working 2 to 3 days a week performing myocardial perfusion imaging. In this role, you'll operate Philips CardioMD to assist physician in diagnosing and evaluating Coronary Artery Disease. Your expertise will help ensure accurate imaging results, contributing directly to patient care and treatment planning. Duties Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely, adhering strictly to aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment ( Dual Head Cardio MD) Conduct patient positioning and provide clear instructions to ensure accurate scan results Maintain detailed records of procedures, radiopharmaceutical usage, and patient information in compliance with regulatory standards Support the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medical imaging devices to ensure optimal performance Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret images and facilitate timely diagnosis Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients; guiding them through the process by gently talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. Process final images and expedite all reports Skill Strong understanding of nuclear medicine principles and medical imaging techniques Solid knowledge of cardiology concepts and EKGs Ability to evaluate images diagnostically for quality assurance and preliminary assessment Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration Cardiology practice looking for an experienced Nuclear tech in cardio stress imaging preferred.

License/Certification:

Must have

BLS, NMT

National certification from the AART or NMTCB, and state-specific licensing

BLS Certification ARRT Certification or NMTCB Pay:

$44.00 - $48.00 per hour
