Job Description

Key Job Responsibilities Radiopharmaceutical Preparation and Administration :
Calculate, prepare, and administer radioactive drugs (tracers) orally or intravenously.
Imaging Procedures :
Position patients for imaging and operate cameras that detect radiation, creating images of organs and tissues.
Radiation Safety and Compliance :
Monitor radiation exposure levels, use shielding, and safely dispose of radioactive waste.
Patient Care and Communication :
Explain procedures, obtain patient history, and address concerns to ensure comfort and safety.
Data Processing and Analysis :
Process and enhance images using advanced computer software for interpretation by radiologists.
Equipment Maintenance :
Calibrate and maintain imaging equipment, such as PET or SPECT scanners, to ensure quality control.
