Job Description

Summary Job Description:
Nuclear Med Tech PRN Minimum 2 Shifts Per Month We are seeking a highly motivated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic procedures using gamma cameras, assay instruments, and related equipment with limited supervision. The ideal candidate will gather patient histories, prepare documentation, and maintain accurate records to support quality imaging and interpretation. Key responsibilities include maintaining quality control on all assigned instruments, adhering to radiation safety standards (ALARA), and manipulating imaging data to obtain diagnostic information. The technologist will properly position and monitor patients during procedures, prepare and administer radionuclides under physician direction, and ensure all equipment is used according to established protocols. This role also requires professional conduct, department cleanliness, and adherence to dress code and safety standards. Additional duties include communicating effectively with radiologists and other healthcare staff, transporting patients when needed, participating in training activities, and performing other duties as assigned. Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology. KBMIRT at time of hire. NMTCB and/or ARRT within 90 days of hire. Current BCLS certification within 90 days of hire. DOT Certification due within 90 days of hire and every 3 years after.
