Job Description
Nuclear Medicine Technologist A Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or (ARRT(N)) is responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards. Graduate of a recognized, approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in nuclear medicine or has the necessary Nuclear Medicine certification required. Certification by the ARRT (N) or NMTCB required. Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine equipment and related software systems. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and cross-sectional imaging techniques for attenuation correction. Familiarity of administering radiopharmaceuticals safely. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds. Empathy and patience when dealing with anxious or uncooperative patients. Ability to assess images for quality and troubleshoot issues during scans. Quick decision-making in emergency situations. Precision in positioning patients and setting up equipment. Accurate documentation of procedures in patient records.
