Job Description

Category Imaging - Nuclear Medicine Job Type Contract Nuclear Medicine Technologist opportunity available in Gilford, NH, offering a contract position within a supportive medical imaging team. This role involves independent work in the Nuclear Medicine (NM) department, handling a moderate volume of studies including 3-4 NM stress tests and 1-2 general NM studies weekly.
Responsibilities:
Operate NM equipment independently, primarily working solo in the department with occasional guidance. Perform Monthly Quality Control (QC) procedures and Leak Tests to ensure equipment and safety standards. Participate in Quarterly Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) meetings. Manage patient imaging using Siemens E Gamma Camera and standard Hot Lab NM equipment. Flexibility in scheduling; ideal candidates may cover a 36-hour workweek (four 9-hour days, Monday-Thursday, with Friday off) from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No on-call requirements. Ability to adapt to a 24-hour technologist schedule is a plus, although challenging.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist with experience working independently. Proficiency in performing QC and safety protocols (Monthly QC, Leak Tests). Knowledge of NM imaging procedures including stress tests and general NM studies. Experience or knowledge in CT imaging is highly preferred but not required. Strong prioritization and time management skills due to varied workload volume.
