Day Shift Job Description This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging services in a trusted hospital setting. You will play a key role in addressing critical staffing needs, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the continuity of Nuclear Medicine and PET operations in a high-demand environment. Responsibilities Perform Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging procedures in accordance with established department protocols. Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals safely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable regulations. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, including proper positioning and clear communication about exams. Operate, monitor, and perform basic maintenance on Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging equipment. Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and imaging staff across Nuclear Medicine and PET departments to support coordinated patient care. Maintain strict compliance with radiation safety standards, regulatory requirements, and infection control policies. Accurately document procedures, patient interactions, and imaging results in patient records and department systems. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to support a positive patient experience and efficient workflow. Contribute to a team-based environment, assisting colleagues and adapting to shared staffing needs across Nuclear Medicine and PET services. Essential Skills Registered or registry-eligible Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Appropriate state licensure and certifications as required for Nuclear Medicine practice. Experience performing Nuclear Medicine and/or PET imaging procedures (preferred). Strong knowledge of radiation safety principles and imaging protocols. Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment with shared departmental staffing. Excellent attention to detail in performing procedures and documenting patient information. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency with medical terminology and patient record documentation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Background in medical technology, medical laboratory science, or related laboratory and medical chemistry experience is beneficial. Familiarity with Nuclear Medicine terminology and practices. Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and accuracy in an understaffed or fast-paced clinical environment. Strong interpersonal skills that support effective teamwork and patient-centered care. Work Environment This is an on-site hospital-based role within a Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging department. The environment is high-volume and fast-paced, with shared staffing across Nuclear Medicine and PET services to meet patient demand. You will work directly with advanced Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging equipment and follow established radiation safety and infection control protocols. Collaboration with radiologists, physicians, and other imaging professionals is central to the daily workflow, and the setting emphasizes patient safety, quality care, and reliable department operations. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Tulsa, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
