Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support an imaging team for a 6-week contract assignment, with potential for continuation. This position offers a consistent day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:00am to 3:30pm, with no on-call responsibilities, providing a strong work-life balance.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Completion of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification by ARRT (Nuclear) or NMTCB is preferred Demonstrated competency in standard nuclear medicine procedures Experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a clinical or hospital setting Ability to work independently, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills While PET experience is not required, the ability to perform CT would be considered a plus, but is not mandatoryPrimary Responsibilities:
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Operate cameras and associated nuclear medicine equipment for imaging studies Accurately perform image processing, quality control, and calibration of imaging systems Verify patient identification and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of all exams conducted Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all radiation safety and infection control protocols This assignment offers immediate start and a consistent schedule, perfect for professionals seeking a predictable workweek without the demands of call shifts.
