Beaufort Memorial, a not-for-profit hospital founded in 1944 on the banks of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, is licensed for 201 beds (169 acute, 14 rehabilitation and 18 mental health). We are an acute-care hospital, a regional referral center and the largest medical facility between Savannah, Ga., and Charleston, S.C. Beaufort Memorial Emergency & Urgent Care:
Expanding access and enhancing high-quality care in the Lowcountry. Beaufort Memorial, a not-for-profit hospital founded in 1944 on the banks of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway and is opening the first combined full-service, free-standing Emergency and Urgent Care facility on Hilton Head Island located at 1016 William Hilton Pkwy. This hybrid facility provides a single point of access and a seamless, patient-centered approach to care. From illness and injuries to more serious or life-threatening conditions, our care team is fully equipped to provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time. The Multi-Modality Technologist is responsible for safely and proficiently performing general radiography and computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures and related patient care in accordance with government regulations, physician orders, and the policies and procedures of the Imaging Department and the facility. Additionally, employees may work varying shifts and/or assume these job duties at alternate sites within the healthcare system dependent upon patient volumes and organizational needs. As healthcare delivery evolves, departmental priorities may change; therefore, responsibilities may be expanded or restricted at the discretion of the Manager and/or Department Director.WORKING CONDITIONS

This position operates in a healthcare environment and involves potential exposure to radiation, infectious and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, hazardous chemicals, fumes, odors, gases, and dust. The role may require working in proximity to moving mechanical parts and exposure to toxic or caustic substances in accordance with established safety protocols. 1.Regularly exposed to the risk of blood borne diseases (Category 1) 2. Exposed to ionizing radiation and radioactive materials 3. Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 pounds) 4. Prolonged standing and/or walking 5. (JOBSPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
): Utilize appropriate medical and radiologic terminology in all communications and documentation Perform diagnostic radiographic and CT procedures in accordance with established protocols Maintain a high standard of quality assurance and technical accuracy Demonstrate technical proficiency and operational knowledge of imaging equipment Exhibit reliability, accountability, and professional judgment in all duties Analyze patient information and imaging requirements to ensure appropriate study execution Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, explaining procedures and addressing questions or concerns Conduct all imaging procedures in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies Accurately position patients and select appropriate anatomic and technical parameters Apply radiation protection principles and adhere to ALARA standards Prepare for and assist physicians with special and advanced imaging procedures Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice and in accordance with state and federal regulations Monitor patients during procedures and report any changes in condition to appropriate clinical staff Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency standards (e.g., state regulations, OSHA, HIPAA) Submit high-quality imaging to PACS promptly, ensuring accuracy of patient identification, documentation, and image labeling Maintain inventory of supplies and coordinate restocking with the Facility Clinical Leader as needed Participate in facility accreditation, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging suites in accordance with infection control and OSHA standards Assist with onboarding and training of new staff on equipment, policies, and procedures Support laboratory functions as assigned, including adherence to lab policies and procedures Provide patient care support within scope of practice, which may include obtaining vital signs, patient preparation, and procedural assistance Perform phlebotomy, basic laboratory testing, wound cultures, and point-of-care testing as trained and delegated (approximatelySimilar jobs in Beaufort, SC
