1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET Tech) for a 13-week travel contract at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and proficiency with Siemens equipment. Details Work in a Nuclear Medicine department at an 865-bed Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital Performs PET/CT scans in an outpatient/inpatient hospital setting 5x8-hour day shifts with varying start times between 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM and varying end times between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM Saturday shifts may be required when PET/CT camera is down or there is an excessive backlog No holiday coverage required No on-call requirement No floating to other service lines or sister facilities Charting performed in Epic Requirements Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine / PET Tech experience Current BLS certification (AHA only) NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) required NMTCB(CT), ARRT(R), or ARRT(CT) required SCRQSA state license in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography required (license required if applicable) Experience with Siemens equipment/scanners required Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience preferred Candidate must provide their own radiation dosimetry badge — the facility does not provide radiation badges to travelers SSN and Driver's License required for consideration 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis; the facility prioritizes non-local candidates All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit availability Online modules must be completed prior to the start of the assignment Teal top and black pants scrubs required Parking is free on nights and weekends; a one-time $20 fee applies for a parking pass Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
