- Job Summary and Qualifications
- Seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician / Nuclear Tech for our Texas Transplant Physician Group who provides specialized expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. - What you will do in this role:
- + •Performs all Nuclear Medicine procedures according to established policies and procedures, methods and standards to provide quality patient care.
- + •Document patient information and perform other non-clinical duties to support procedure completion.
- + •Greet and identify correct patient and provide a brief explanation of requested procedure to ensure patient care and patients' right to know.
- + •Perform all aspects of radiopharmaceutical preparation for scintigraphy, bioassay, and therapeutic procedures and dispose of radioactive trash according to department policy and Nuclear Regulatory Commission standards.
- + •Perform imaging and therapeutic procedures according to requirements.
- + •Perform non-clinical activities pertinent to equipment maintenance and NRC regulations for Quality Control and radiation monitoring.
- + •Maintain appropriate supplies and a clean, organized work environment.
- + •Participate in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of Nuclear Medicine.
- + •Perform other duties as required.
- + •Must read, understand, and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.
- + •Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement•What Qualifications you will need:•
EDUCATION
- + •Graduate of accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.
EXPERIENCE
- + •Experience in Nuclear Medicine (may include experience in formal NM formal training program)•+ •Prefer three years' experience in nuclear medicine department.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE
