Summary:

The Staff CRNA is a highly motivated professional advanced nurse and skilled clinician who with minimal supervision assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nurse anesthesia care of surgical patients. Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative setting. Requires flexible, self directed CRNA with the ability to work in any phase of the perioperative setting and a willingness to float between all areas in the perioperative setting as needed.

Masters of Nurse Anesthesia in Nurse Anesthesia Anesthesia South is the anesthesia department comprised of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists that have specialized training in pediatric anesthesia. The Children's of Alabama Outpatient Surgery South is an outpatient surgery center with 6 operating rooms that provide surgery and anesthesia for healthy children ages 4 months through age 20 years. Although it is part of the Children's Health System, which is a teaching facility, there are no residents or students who train at this location.
