N/A We're looking for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide locum tenens coverage at a Level I trauma center in Phoenix, AZ. The assignment runs July 13, 2026 - January 11, 2027 and is clinical-only in a hospital setting. Schedule and shift details Primarily nights on 10- and 12-hour shifts, 3-4 shifts per week. Must be flexible to cover days when needed and willing to work at least one full weekend shift per month. Expect to participate in night and weekend rotations (typically 3-6 night shifts per month). Patient population and caseload You'll care for adults, pediatrics, and obstetrics patients.
Full-scope case mix:
obstetrics (including high-risk OB), pediatrics, neurosurgery, and general surgery. Work performed in both OB and OR settings. Qualifications and compliance Active Arizona license or participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC). Board-certified within the last 5 years. Minimum of 2 years recent CRNA experience in a hospital environment. Eligible to see Medicare patients; no significant malpractice history or license suspensions. Residency and board status will be verified. Credentialing timeline (estimates) AZ license: about 6 weeks.
IMLC:
about 2 months. For those without a current license: approximately 3 months (assuming a clean background). Credentialing can begin with a pending license to help speed onboarding. Core responsibilities Deliver general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care within a supervised model. Provide anesthesia coverage across OB, pediatrics, neuro, and general surgery. Maintain flexibility across shifts and settings to support the team and ensure patient safety. Follow Medicare requirements and all facility compliance standards.
