12-Hour Shifts (3 weekend shifts per month required) Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a 13-week contract assignment at a leading Level I Trauma academic medical center in Orange, California. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment alongside a highly skilled anesthesia team while providing care for complex surgical patients. Schedule 12-hour shifts Start times may vary: 6:30 AM 9:30 AM 11:30 AM (rarely assigned) 3 weekend shifts per month required Facility Highlights Level I Trauma Center Academic teaching facility with Anesthesiology Residents Medical Direction Model Anesthesiologists supervise up to 3 CRNAs simultaneously High-acuity patient population with complex comorbidities
EMR:
Epic Responsibilities Administer and monitor anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff Provide comprehensive preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative anesthesia care Manage high-acuity and trauma patients safely and effectively Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR Required Experience & Skills Extensive Trauma Level II experience required Strong preference for candidates with Academic Level I Trauma Center experience Experience with: General Surgery Orthopedic Surgery Gynecological Surgery Ability to manage medically complex and critically ill patients
Cases Performed General Surgery Orthopedics Gynecology Not Required:
Obstetrics (OB) Pediatrics Cardiac Cases Requirements Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification Board Certified (Required) Active California CRNA License (Required)
