Job Description

Types of cases: General surgery, Ortho, ENT, Plastics, B&B, OB/GYN, Endo No neuro, hearts, peds under 2yo, spine, bariatric; Locums typically assigned to MOR, ASU, eye center, EP lab. Most services represented with bread/butter being typical for locums. GA, spinal, & MAC cases. Is there call? We wouldn't utilize locums on weekends unless/until they were interested and had solid experience at our facility and a background in OB.
Schedule:
M-F for 4-5 days/week, a mix of 8-12 hr days, 40+/- hours/week. How many CRNA s and how many anesthesiologists onsite? approx. 30 permanent/7 per diem CRNAs and equal # of permanent MDAs & pool MDs too. Any given weekday about half are physically here. Is this supervised or medically directed? ACT model with supervision, never medical direction. CRNAs see their own patients, induce, emerge, all care

unless they desire a helping hand, which is always available but may not be a supervising anesthesiologist. How many OR s? 8-9 MORs + 5-6 ASU + 2 Eye center + 2 EP lab rooms are typical CRNA assignments. OB is high-risk and busy but we usually avoid for locums unless they're experienced and interested.
