Job Description

Nurse Anesthetist Lakeview Hospital United States, Minnesota, Stillwater 927 Churchill Street West (Show on map) May 28, 2026 To assess, plan, perform, and document professional nurse anesthetist practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of unlicensed assistive personnel; to assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient, their family, health professionals and others; responsible for providing patient care and support during general, regional or monitored anesthesia care, and is responsible for patient safety while under anesthesia; works with the staff anesthesiologists, surgeons, and surgical staff to provide safe and evidenced based care to patients and performs other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
.8 FTE; 8,10,12 hours days with option of 24 hours call
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree or Doctorate Nursing Practice Degree or equivalent Current Registered Nurse (RN) license by Minnesota Board of Nursing Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Active through Minnesota Board of Nursing Credentialed through National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association or BLS - American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider) Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification Must have strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills with a customer-service orientation. Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing. Ability to effectively participate on an interdisciplinary treatment team. Ability to collaborate, develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, family members, and co-workers. Knowledge of emergency procedures and medical intervention techniques Knowledge of infection control practices and their relation to patient care outcomes Ability to recognize changes in patient's condition or body systems Ability to critically think about clinical situations and intervene appropriately Skilled in using patient care related equipment and supplies. Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively. Ability to provide individualized care and respond to a variety of patient/family preferences. Ability to provide an exceptional patient experience utilizing strong customer service skills. Advanced problem-solving skills and/or techniques Knowledge of principles of management and the change process Knowledge of current anesthesia practice and policies Ability to assess caregiver competence in the clinical setting
