Job Description
Job Overview Join our surgical team as a PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to assess patient care needs and provide anesthetic care for surgical patients. To administer medically directed or supervised local, general, inhalation, regional, intravenous, monitored and other anesthetics to patients. To consult preoperatively with patients regarding anesthetic needs, monitors patient's reaction to anesthesia and adjusts care accordingly. Duties Administer anesthesia to patients for vascular procedures. Monitor vital signs and patient responses throughout procedures, adjusting anesthesia levels as needed to maintain safety and comfort. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments prior to anesthesia administration, including reviewing medical history and current medications. Manage airway devices and perform airway management techniques to secure and maintain patient airway patency during procedures. Document all medical interventions accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms, adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with surgical teams to develop anesthesia plans aligned with patient needs and procedural requirements. Administer injections and medications precisely, following established protocols and NCQA standards for pain management and patient safety. Experience Proven 5+ years critical care experience in settings such as ICU or hospital environments with exposure to complex patient cases. Demonstrated expertise in anesthesiology practices including airway management, medication administration, and patient monitoring. Experience working with diverse populations. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology relevant to anesthesia care. Familiarity with hospital-based electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or similar EMR platforms is required. Prior experience adhering to HIPAA standards for patient privacy and medical documentation is essential. Background working within hospital or surgical center environments with an understanding of NCQA standards for quality care delivery is advantageous.
