Job Summary:

A CRNA is an advanced practice specialty within the profession of nursing responsible for giving total anesthesia care to patients requiring anesthesia services. CRNA practice includes pre-anesthetic evaluation and preparation, anesthesia induction, maintenance and emergency, post-anesthetic care, pain management, and responding to emergency situations related to airway management and cardia life support techniques. Minimum Requirements:

Graduate of a nurse anesthesia education program accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs or its predecessor. Current license as Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON) or current compact state license. Current recognition as a CRNA by NCBON. Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Certification/recertification by National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Current privileges as a CRNA at CarolinaEast. Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by this organization and state. Demonstrates competency in the responsibilities specified in this job description and privileges. Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
