Cleveland Clinic is currently seeking CRNAs for opportunities at Akron General Medical Center. Akron General is a 500+ bed hospital with a level 1 Trauma Center.

Case mix includes:

Neuro, NIL, CV, Endo, GU, GYN, Spine, Ortho, Plastics, ENT, Heart, General, Colorectal, Bronch, EPS, and GI. There are currently CRNAs assigned to OB, however there may be opportunities to those with interest. Various scheduling options available. • Responsibilities:

• + Performs and documents a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient.

+ Develops and implements an anesthetic plan of care, including monitoring modalities and post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care. + Selects, obtains and administers the anesthetic plan of care, including induction, maintenance and emergence phase anesthesia. + Recognizes alterations in physiologic responses to the surgical procedure and/or the anesthetic, takes appropriate action and notifies the responsible physician as indicated. + Other duties as assigned. + Follows Hospital and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety. + Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department-specific competencies and requirements.

• Education:

• + Graduate of accredited CRNA program.

• Certifications:

• + Current state licensure as a registered nurse (RN).

+ Certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) from the Ohio Board of Nursing. + Current certification and continued professional certification (CPC) with the National Board of Certification Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) and State Board of Nursing endorsement. + Basic Life Support (BLS). + Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. + Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) certification may be required based upon work setting. + Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through American Academy of Pediatrics certifications may be required based upon work setting.

• Complexity of Work:

• + Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. + Must be able to work in a stressful environment. + Variable Shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. Call expected.

• Work Experience:

• + Preferred but not required.

• Physical Requirements:

• + Requires full range of motion; manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. + Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time and the ability to lift and transport patients. + Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. + Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids. + Ability to work under extreme pressure.

• Personal Protective Equipment:

• + Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Minimum Annual Salary:

$230,000.00

Maximum Annual Salary:

$299,000.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
