Job Description
Experienced Part time and Casual CRNA for busy outpatient ambulatory surgery center located in Edgeworth PA. Monday thru Friday, daylight hours. Orthopedic, Plastic and Podiatry procedures. No weekends, evenings, call or holidays. Salary competitive and negotiable. Valid PA State License, NBCRNA certification, PA clearances, ACLS, PALS,BLS certification all required.
Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after anesthesia administration
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop an appropriate anesthesia plan for each patient
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during surgical procedures
- Manage pain relief and sedation for patients in critical care settings
- Document patient information, anesthesia plans, and administration details accurately and thoroughly
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation practices
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and protocols
- Experience in acute care settings, including emergency departments and intensive care units
- Competent in performing venipuncture and administering intravenous medications
- Familiarity with pediatric anesthesia techniques and considerations
- Expertise in pain management strategies and interventions
- Understanding of ICD-9 coding for accurate medical billing and recordkeeping
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems, such as Cerner or similar platforms
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
