Description:
Embark on a locum tenens journey as a CRNA, commencing from June 18, 2024. The schedule involves four 10-hour shifts weekly, ensuring comprehensive coverage. The assignment spans six months, offering stability and continuity. Overtime is compensated after 40 hours, and occasional home call duties provide flexibility.
Department Dynamics:
The CRNA team comprises nine professionals, collectively managing responsibilities in the Operating Room (OR), Gastrointestinal (GI), Obstetrics (OB), and Non-Operating Room Anesthesia (NORA). Case diversity ranges from general surgery, robotics, orthopedics, urology, to GI and OB. The Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model emphasizes collaboration, with CRNAs not performing regional procedures.
Patient Volume and Diversity:
Monthly OR caseload: Approximately 450 cases.
Additional GI cases:
250 monthly. Patient demographics cover a wide age range, with minimal pediatric cases.
Certifications and Licensing:
Candidates must hold current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association. The facility requires a willingness to obtain or maintain a South Carolina license, with a minimum active license duration of 90 days and 120 days for provisional privileges without an active SC license.
