Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our psychiatry team, providing exceptional patient-centered care to diverse patient population. In this vital role you will provide comprehensive mental health care services, including psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, psychotherapy, patient education, and care coordination. The PMHNP collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with all applicable clinical, regulatory, and organizational standards.
Duties:
Psychiatric Assessment and Diagnosis Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments. Diagnose mental health and substance use disorders using established clinical criteria. Review patient histories, symptoms, and psychosocial factors. Treatment Planning Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Medication Management Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychiatric medications in accordance with state laws and organizational policies. Assess medication effectiveness and side effects. Educate patients about medication use, risks, and expected outcomes. Therapeutic Interventions Provide psychotherapy, counseling, and behavioral health interventions as appropriate. Utilize evidence-based treatment approaches. Support patients in developing coping skills and wellness strategies. Patient Education and Advocacy Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options. Promote mental health awareness and preventive care. Advocate for patient access to appropriate services and resources. Documentation and Compliance Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records. Complete required clinical documentation, treatment notes, and reports. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations. Collaboration and Care Coordination Coordinate care with psychiatrists, primary care providers, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in case reviews and multidisciplinary treatment meetings. Facilitate referrals to community resources and specialty services.

$109,747.71 - $120,169.28 per year
