The FNP works collaboratively with medical providers, behavioral health professionals, care coordinators, and support staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care that addresses both physical and behavioral health needs. The ideal candidate is experienced and comfortable treating pediatric and adult populations and is committed to promoting wellness, disease prevention, and whole-person care through an integrated healthcare model. We are in the process of moving from strictly outpatient behavioral health to an integrated health clinic, which will include primary care services, behavioral health, med management and ABA services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Conduct age-appropriate physical examinations, health assessments, and developmental screenings. Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions. Provide pediatric care, including well-child exams, immunizations, developmental assessments, school and sports physicals, and management of common childhood illnesses. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and screenings. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based clinical guidelines. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with Arizona law and professional standards. Collaborate with behavioral health providers to support integrated care and address mental health concerns affecting overall wellness. Provide preventive health services, patient education, and counseling related to nutrition, lifestyle modification, disease prevention, and chronic disease management. Coordinate referrals to specialists and community resources when appropriate. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Participate in quality improvement initiatives, population health programs, and organizational performance goals. Support compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications Master's or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Current, unrestricted Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license. Current, unrestricted Arizona Nurse Practitioner license through the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC). Formal training and clinical competency in pediatric care, including the assessment and treatment of infants, children, and adolescents. Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority in Arizona or ability to obtain prior to employment. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of experience in family practice, primary care, community health, integrated care, or outpatient clinic settings. Experience caring for pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence. Experience in integrated behavioral health or collaborative care models. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred. Experience serving diverse, underserved, or rural populations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills across the lifespan. Knowledge of pediatric growth and development, immunization schedules, and preventive care guidelines. Understanding of integrated healthcare and collaborative treatment planning. Excellent communication and patient education skills. Ability to establish rapport with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Proficiency with electronic health records and telehealth platforms. Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and patient-centered care. Physical Requirements Ability to perform physical assessments and examinations. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods. Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds as needed. Ability to use standard clinical equipment and computer systems. Work Environment Outpatient integrated health clinic serving patients across the lifespan. Collaborative team environment including primary care, behavioral health, care coordination, and support services. May include occasional community outreach, school-based services, or health promotion activities. Licensure and Regulatory Requirements The selected candidate must maintain all licenses, certifications, registrations, and continuing education requirements as mandated by the Arizona State Board of Nursing and applicable federal and state regulations.
