This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with various psychiatric conditions. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote mental wellness, implement treatment plans, and improve patient outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient assessments, mental status examinations, and diagnostic evaluations using EMR systems such as Epic and eClinicalWorks. Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, including psychopharmacology treatments tailored to individual needs. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients across outpatient, inpatient, emergency room, and telehealth settings. Provide crisis intervention and triage services for patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes or emergencies. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care strategies. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in clinical research initiatives, staying current with ICD-10 coding updates, and integrating new treatment modalities such as esthetic laser treatments or Botox therapy when appropriate. Qualifications Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with valid licensure in the practicing state. Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory care or dementia support. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; experience with telehealth platforms is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, medication administration protocols, and behavioral health treatment strategies. Critical care experience or hospital medicine background preferred; familiarity with acute pain management and ICU or trauma center experience is advantageous. Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs assessment, and diagnostic evaluations confidently. Excellent communication skills for patient education, family planning discussions, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and utilization review processes is a plus; additional expertise in hospice & palliative medicine or occupational health can enhance your impact.
