Certification Client rapport building Advanced practice provider Medical License Family medicine Full Job Description Join The ROADS Foundation's vibrant healthcare team as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner - Mobile Clinic . We are looking for someone who enjoys working in an autonomous, flexible work environment, and is passionate about helping people.
Position Overview :
The Family Practice Nurse Practitioner - Mobile Clinic will provide consultation, diagnosis, and treatment of medical conditions of patients on the ROADS Foundation's Mobile Clinics. Our mobile clinics are primarily deployed to Board & Care and other residential facilities to serve patients that cannot come to our clinics. We are looking for a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner with strong experience and a passion for helping patients residing in these facilities.
Qualifications :
  • Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience;
  • Experience with Board & Care facilities preferred;
  • Mobile clinic experience preferred;
  • Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of modern medicine related to public health services;
  • Experience with electronic health records systems;
  • Ability to build connections with clients;
  • Conscientious self-starter who embraces and enjoys autonomous work.
Training, Education, and Licensure :
  • Current license to practice medicine in California;
  • Board certified or Board eligible;
  • Current BLS/CPR.
Responsibilities :
  • Examines patients, takes medical history, records results, and makes preliminary diagnosis and/or decide on follow-up procedures;
  • Administers and/or orders diagnostic tests, blood work, and interpret results;
  • Performs therapeutic procedures;
  • Develops and implements patient care plans, instructs and counsels patients, and records progress;
  • Prescribes medications to the extent allowable by state guidelines and clinic regulations;
  • Provides health education regarding health maintenance especially in the realm of STD prevention;
  • Prescreens cases requiring review by the Medical Director;
  • Participates in staff and planning meetings as needed;
  • Participates in the ROADS Foundation's ongoing quality assurance monitoring.
