Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive clinical background, demonstrating proficiency in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across diverse medical settings. This role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional patient care through advanced clinical expertise, including managing acute and chronic conditions, performing procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The Nurse Practitioner will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services while adhering to regulatory standards and promoting patient-centered care. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews, utilizing physiology knowledge and clinical evaluation skills. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients across various specialties such as geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and acute care. Perform procedures including suturing, IV infusion, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal fillers with sterile technique and precision. Manage medication administration, including injections and pharmacological therapies such as botulinum toxin treatments for aesthetic or therapeutic purposes. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care and ensure continuity of treatment for remote or underserved populations. Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance evidence-based practices within the practice setting. Engage in discharge planning, case management, and utilization review to optimize patient outcomes across inpatient and outpatient environments. Assist with diagnostic evaluations using sonography or laboratory specimen collection/processing when necessary. Contribute to infection control protocols, acute pain management strategies, and hospice & palliative medicine services as required. Experience Proven experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; telehealth experience is highly desirable. Clinical expertise in multiple specialties including internal medicine, emergency medicine, critical care (ICU/ PICU), geriatrics, behavioral health, or gastroenterology. Hands-on experience with procedures like suturing, dermal fillers, spinal taps, catheterization, and airway management techniques. Prior involvement in medical documentation coding using ICD-9/10 or CPT coding standards for billing purposes. Strong background in managing complex cases involving infectious disease care, trauma (Level II/Level I trauma center experience), or post-acute care environments. Familiarity with nursing home care protocols and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs. Knowledge of occupational health practices including triage procedures and injury management under workers' compensation law guidelines. Experience supporting patients through discharge planning and utilization management processes for optimal resource allocation.
