Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care experience to provide locum coverage in an outpatient clinic setting in Modesto, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking consistent weekday coverage with potential for extension.

Schedule:
Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (or until last patient is treated) No call, no weekends
Contract Length:
3 months (locum assignment with potential extension)
Patient Volume:
Varies; walk-in and scheduled patients
Patient Population:
All ages
Team Support:
Collaborative environment with clinic staff; provider expected to work autonomously
Charting Software:
Allscripts Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat work-related injuries Perform pre-placement, DOT, public safety, and surveillance physical examinations Evaluate and treat urgent care patients on a walk-in basis Conduct in-office procedures, including suturing Communicate with employers and provide medical guidance Document and update patient records in a timely manner Supervise and collaborate with other advanced practice providers as needed
Requirements:
Active California license (required)
Board Certification:
BC/BE in primary care or related field DOT certification (required by first shift) DEA certification
Experience:
Prior urgent care or occupational medicine experience preferred Ability to work independently and manage procedures confidently
