Ventura County, California Join a Premier Pulmonary & Critical Care Team on California's Beautiful Ventura Coast West Coast Critical Care Specialists and West Coast Pulmonary & Sleep Disorders Center are seeking two experienced and motivated Advanced Practice Providers (Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners) to join our growing Pulmonary and Critical Care team. This unique position provides a blend of inpatient Step-Down Unit (DOU) coverage and outpatient pulmonary clinic responsibilities, offering a diverse and rewarding practice environment within a highly respected, physician-led organization. About the Practice You will work alongside a collaborative team of Pulmonologists, Intensivists, and Advanced Practice Providers in a well-established and highly regarded program featuring: Well-established Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Step-Down programs State-of-the-art Critical Care Unit 2018 Silver Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses Gold Plus Stroke / ELVO Receiving Center STEMI Receiving Center Strong support from consulting specialties including: Interventional Radiology Cardiology Neurology Gastroenterology Nephrology Surgery State-of-the-art outpatient pulmonary offices In-house Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) laboratory Portable PFT capabilities AASM-accredited Sleep Lab Excellent front and back office support, including on-site billing and practice management Two outpatient clinic locations Inpatient care is provided at: St. John's Regional Medical Center St. John's Hospital Camarillo Schedule Every 4-week schedule includes: 5 twelve-hour night shifts in the Step-Down Unit (DOU) 10 eight-hour outpatient pulmonary clinic shifts Responsibilities Provide inpatient coverage for medically complex patients in the DOU (Step-Down Unit) Evaluate, diagnose, and manage pulmonary and sleep medicine patients in the outpatient clinic Collaborate closely with Intensivists, Pulmonologists, and consulting specialists Participate in high-quality, patient-centered care across inpatient and outpatient settings Maintain accurate documentation and treatment plans Support continuity of care between hospital and clinic settings Qualifications Current California Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license (or in process) ACLS certification Strong Internal Medicine foundation Pulmonary medicine experience preferred Minimum 2 years of PA or NP experience preferred Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Compensation & Benefits We offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package including: Starting salary from $138,000 annually Sign-on bonus Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) qualifying employer Loan repayment assistance Retention bonus after one year Annual CME stipend Monthly stipend towards Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Aflac insurance available Short-term disability coverage Long-term disability coverage 401(k) and Roth retirement plan Paid time off Flexible scheduling Excellent work/life balance Why Ventura County?
