Job Description

This is a full time surgical position. Vein harvesting experience a must . Minimum 1 year. Minimum 1 year recent experience working as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in a cardiothoracic surgery program. We offer a comprehensive benefits package; including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, generous 401K, paid licenses, 8 weeks of PTO, and paid CME. Will play an integral role in the global management of cardiothoracic surgery patients, including all aspects of perioperative care, performance of invasive surgical procedures within the professional scope of clinical duties, and provision of patient care expertise in the pre and post operative acute care environment of our cardiothoracic surgery program. Active Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner licensure in the State of California. BLS and ACLS certification. A furnishing number issued by BRN in order to furnish medications and current DEA number for United States Drug Enforcement Administration if furnishing or ordering Schedule 111-V controlled substances is required. Active and transferable DEA license to California. National certification as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner. Will participate in after-hours and weekend call. Will participate in shared weekend rounding. Able to, or already be paneled with Medicare and Medicaid with CMS. Clinical experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. ICU and Telemetry experience is preferred. Proficiency in the use of an EMR/computer based documentation and Microsoft Office. EPIC Electronic Medical Record system experience preferred. Possesses the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to successfully perform the duties of the assigned position.
