Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality urgent care services across diverse patient populations. The ideal candidate will bring previous clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or primary care, along with proficiency in EMR systems and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Duties Manage acute and chronic conditions such as pain, infectious diseases, respiratory infections and asthma exacerbations using evidence-based practices. Perform procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, and toenail excision Manage minor trauma including fractures, sprains, and contusions Utilize EMR systems for accurate documentation of patient encounters and data collection. Assist in diagnostic evaluation through ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, and ordering and interpreting EKG and x-ray (prior to radiologist's impression) Triage patients to local emergency departments when a higher level of care is warranted Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate ICD-10 coding for billing purposes Qualifications Valid PA or NP certification with current CA licensureACLS/BLS
Certification; DEA licensure required DOT licensure a plus, but not required Proven experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, urgent care, or primary care Strong procedural skills and clinical acumen Proficiency with EMR systems Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation Ability to perform thorough physical examinations with excellent patient assessment skills Outstanding communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented approachBenefits:
