Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with Occupational Medicine experience to provide locum coverage in an outpatient rehab clinic setting in Soledad, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking consistent weekday coverage with potential for permanent placement.

Patient Volume:

Patient Population:
Adults (work-related injuries and occupational health needs)
Team Support:
Collaborative environment with therapists, specialists, and support staff
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in occupational medicine clinic Serve as Primary Treating Provider (PTP) for work-related injuries Collaborate with therapists and specialists to drive optimal outcomes and expedite case closure Manage clinicians and support staff, ensuring compliance with supervisory physician requirements Enhance processes and procedures to minimize visit times and improve patient experience Document and update patient records with appropriate coding and charge capture Communicate with employers regarding new injuries and significant clinical changes Participate in team meetings to improve quality, patient safety, and case management Cultivate relationships with center clients and payers, responding promptly to requests Support staff development and foster a collaborative, professional environment
Requirements:
Active California license (required)
Board Certification:
BC/BE in primary care or related field DEA certification
COVID-19
vaccination (medical/religious exemptions only)
Experience:
Prior occupational medicine experience preferred Ability to work independently and manage staff and clinical workflows
