Job Description

Occupational Medicine NP/PA Needed California Central Valley Region Start Date:
February 2026
Contract Length:
13 weeks; potential ongoing need Schedule Full-time scheduled clinical hours Monday Friday, 8:30a 5:00p No call Standard 8 hour shifts Practice Details Outpatient occupational medicine clinic Broad scope of employer based and injury based care Support staff on site EMR used (system varies by location) Clinical Scope Evaluation and treatment of occupational medicine patients Conduct injury care, follow up visits, return to work assessments Complete all medical documentation before the end of shift Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure appropriate standards of care Communicate with employer representatives following injuries or status changes Guide other clinical team members in absence of supervising physician Maintain compliance with state practice acts and Workers Compensation regulations Participate in center operations, workflow optimization, and quality initiatives Engage in patient education and ensure high-standard customer service Support clinical systems: documentation, coding, charge capture, and order completion Requirements Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Occupational Medicine Graduate of an accredited NP/PA program Active California license required DEA required BLS and AED required (ACLS preferred) NRCME (DOT Medical Examiner) certification required Experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine preferred New grads welcome Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient centered approach Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment Familiarity with EMR systems and medical office procedures Credentialing Typical timeframe varies Submittal must include NPI, license information, and expiration dates Location Located in the California Central Valley Region, providing Monday Friday outpatient occupational medicine services with a consistent schedule and a strong focus on patient care, employer communication, and workplace injury management.
